American Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers responded to five fires in five different parishes over the weekend. DAT volunteers are one of the first on the scene to help those affected by disasters, most commonly the home fire. Red Cross provided assistance toward lodging, food, clothing and referrals to eight adults and nine children.
